I train a lot and stretching, mobility and massages have always been an after thought.
But I was really starting to
...feel it in my lower back and shoulders so reached out to Callum at CW Sports & Structural Therapy and asked him about treatments.
We opted for a 1 hour session which incorporated a sports massage and vacuum cupping. I mark pretty easily and my skin takes a long time to recover from them so after sharing my concerns with Callum, we opted for vacuum instead of fire and he kept the pressure fairly low to see how we get on.
I’m also someone who is very self-conscious when I have to take my top off in front of others but Callum made me feel at ease, and we chatted the whole way through, with no awkward silences. I was instantly made to feel comfortable which made the whole experience more enjoyable.
Callum noticed the main pressure points / problem areas pretty quickly and really helped iron out most of the kinks before the cups went on. I was also sceptical of the cups but I can honestly say once the cups came off, the pain points in my shoulders had completely disappeared.
As a sports therapists, he was keen to know more about my training routine and based on that, came me some really solid advice, such as how often I should come in and for what treatment, as well as timings around my training to support proper recovery. The best thing is, he knows my PT at 1 Force Fitness, so they can swap notes and work together to ensure my training and recovery plan is best suited to hit my goals.
Honestly, one of the best experiences I’ve had and have already told a few people I train with about his services and have encouraged them to get booked in. Someone I will definitely be seeing on a regular basis to aid my recovery. Already booked my full body sports massage for a couple of months time.
Highly recommend Callum; he was discreet, professional, knowledgeable and above all, friendly.
